The ALS Liner is designed to be buttoned into the ORIGINAL M-65 Field Jacket in cold weather to keep the wearer warm - It is made from ripstop nylon with polyester padding - While the military version was without pockets, the civilian design features two side pockets - It is increasingly worn on its own. Caution: - The liner fits the M-65 jacket and so is cut accordingly large - Those who know the original M-65 are well aware; for all others: order a size and a half to two sizes smaller! Alpha Industries ALS Liner for M-65 Parka The ALS Liner originally only had a single task: to be buttoned into the M-65 field jacket to keep the wearer warm during cold weather.

For this reason it was produced from ripstop nylon with polyester padding, and was fitted with excellent knit cuffs on the sleeves to block out the cold air. When buttoned into the M-65 it is about 10-15cm shorter than the jacket, so that the padding cannot slip out beneath it but warms the back well.

While the military version was without pockets, the civilian design features two side pockets and is increasingly worn on its own. Good reasons for this would be its high functionality and light weight. Caution: The Liner fits the M-65 jacket and so is cut accordingly large.
