The 2-layer jacket design allows us to open up the wind and waterproof layer when the rain stops so we don't overheat while keeping the bottom insulated layer closed for lightweight warmth on chilly days. Polartec Alpha Direct insulation supplies lightweight insulation that keeps us cozy in temperatures down to the mid-twenties.

A silicone gripper on the bottom hem keeps the jacket from riding up when we are in riding position, and a double-layer cuff integrates with our gloves so no cold drafts get inside our jacket.
